Tucked away just off the A55 in Bodelwyddan, Faenol Fawr is a 16th century Tudor manor house with an enormous amount of character. From the moment you turn off the main road and pull up the drive, it just feels special. Think breathtaking Tudor fireplaces, original staircases, wood-panelled dining rooms & stunning grounds.
A wedding at the Faenol Fawr is a personal, intimate experience that still has room for a proper celebration. It’s a family-run business, Jonathan and his team genuinely care about making every wedding as individual and memorable as possible. That personal touch is something I always appreciate as a supplier, when the venue team is all in, it makes the whole day run so much more smoothly.

Couples getting married at Faenol Fawr can choose between two distinct spaces, each with its own character and charm.
The Manor House is the historic heart of the property, all Tudor fireplaces, oak panelling, and period details. It works beautifully for more intimate ceremonies or as a drinks reception space before the party moves across to the Barn. It seats a smaller number of guests in an atmosphere that feels genuinely exclusive and romantic.
The Barn is where the evening really comes alive. Renovated to a high standard while retaining its rustic soul, the Barn features exposed original wooden beams, stone walls, and a wonderful atmosphere that lends itself perfectly to a brilliant party. With capacity for up to 300 for evening receptions, it’s a fantastic space for a proper, full-on Faenol Fawr wedding celebration.
There’s also a sheltered courtyard attached to the Barn, perfect for guests who want some fresh air during the evening without the energy inside dropping. As a DJ, I always love it when a venue has that indoor/outdoor flow, because it keeps things feeling relaxed and natural throughout the night.
With 34 bedrooms on site, guests can make a proper weekend of it. That overnight stay culture always adds something extra to the evening people relax more, stay later, and really make the most of the celebration.
As a Faenol Fawr DJ, I can tell you the Barn is a genuinely brilliant space to work in. The acoustics are great, there’s plenty of room for a proper setup, and the dancefloor gets going early and tends to stay going all night.
